I have a leaking rear axel seal and brake shoe saturation with gear lub. Having trouble locating the inner seals, bearings and gaskets for a rebuild. The Filling Station has these items for car and 1/2 ton but not for the 1 ton truck.

Bearing markings are:
NEW DEPARTURE
ENDEE 1309

Truck is 21LO 10328
Has single wheels on back, oak wheels, 124" wheel base, rear brakes only.

Does anyone know of a source for these items?

A good day at the Closson's here in Kansas. A wheel puller beats a sledge hammer any day of the week!

I had the same problem with my 1/2 ton 1936 commercial truck. All I did was remove the greese fittings on the rear axel. The wheel barring is not greesed by the rear end. Using a wire I very carefully wiggled out the old hard greese. (Or like made a hole in it.)Put a new zirk fitting in and gave the barring some greese. You probably have greese caps. On that axel book recommends service each 500 miles! She stoped leaking rear end lube onto the brake shoes. Maybe that will solve your problem. It worked on my axel. Good luck.

Maxie,

How about Gary Wallace? I think he at least has the seals.
