Hi I can't seem to find any production figures for a 1930 roadster pickup. Also I am not completely sure if a factory box was offered that year or not. Thnaks to anyone with the answers. JO BO

I can't think of the guy's name right now, but JYD will and he shows up from time to time on the chat page. He has a 30 Roadster pickup. He should know the numbers if JYD doesn't.
Also, yes there was a factory box for your pickup.

The generally recognized production number for 1930 Roadster Delivery is 10,444.
The January, 1930 "Truck Sales Data" on page 19 in the "Specifications" section contained the following - "Pick-up bodies are supplied by several body manufacturers for the Chevrolet Roadster Delivery. A slight difference in the specifications will be found in the various bodies." I interpret that to mean that Chevrolet did not supply a pickup box but they were available through Chevrolet dealers or possibly by special order a box from an outside manufacturer might have been mounted at a factory. [I don't have any verification in any Chevrolet literature that the factory actually installed any pickup boxes only speculation that a large customer order might result in it.]
Despite claims of some people a 1929 Roadster Delivery was not produced.

Chipper Thanks I also found a site that stated there were 9,890 Roadster deliveries and only 554 Roadster pickups. What is the difference between the two body styles? JO BO

I have obtained a few pieces of literature pertaining to these 1930 vehicles. All of the literature refers to them as "Roadster Delivery. The selling price is listed as $440.00 with a side note "Pick Up Box Extra" Pickup beds were made by several manfacturers. Among them was Martin-Parry, which according to my information GM purchased in late 1930, others were Anthony Of Streator, Illinois, Hercules of Evansville, Indiana, GarWood of Detroit and many had homebuilt beds made by the owners.I have communicated with approx. 20 owners of these vehicles in the US and Canada.

Thanks to all who replied. I have drawn the conclusion that they are one and the same body styles. I wonder since Chevrolet purchased the bed making company late in 1930 if the final 544 wound up being made by Chevrolet and offered as a complete unit to the public and hence the change in discription. My thoughts. Thanks again JO BO
