Rather strange, but it seems there are no judged shows in PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, or VA this year????

Is there a reason why?

I know there is a tour planned in September in PA - but I am more interested in judged meets.

The way I see it there is only one reason there are no judging meets in your area. No one steps forward to do the work of hosting the meet. There are 14 Regions in the area you are questioning. If one Region doesn't feel they can do it alone they could work woth other regions. I would start by contacting your Area Directors and asking them to work on getting a National Judging Meet started. In our area there is at least one meeting per year with all the Regions represented and scheduling future meets is one topic discussed. I would think this is something your area director could and should do. You can take the first step. Good Luck.

Hi Ollie, Seems so long ago that we sat together at the Lehigh Valley Meet dinner last August. Our Old Dominion Region plans to do one next year in Staunton VA, but I noticed the same thing for this year. I went to the 47th annual Central Meet last week in Nashville IN - 11 and a half hour drive one way so I could compete for Senior. Nice drive, good weather, great meet and I got Senior. So, all in all, well worth it. See you around sometime, Ralph.

One thing I have noticed over the years is that what some areas call a Meet others call it a Show. The Central and Middle West Meets are usually three or four days. They have seminars, vintage colthing, judging school, and more that just judging of the vehicles. It makes it more worht the drive if there is more to do and see. The Central and Middle West meets are more like the Anniversary Meets. Glad you enjoyed the Central Meet Ralph.
