I have this 1930 AD Coupe (?)...I'm going thru it an area at a time...and doing the little things as I can and building up my confidence to tackle the bigger projects. (BTW the fuel guage works now--seemed to be a bad ground..Very glad it was not more involved )

One thing I have noticed is a few of the screws on the door/widow ledge have been replace with Phillips style heads...I am seeking a source for standard screws to make this more period correct.. I have looked locally with out success...Does anyone think I might find them at a Marine Supply store, as brass finding might be more popular there..

While I'm here anyone know if the NEW Filling Station catalogs are out yet??
Also is there a site to check out my VIN #.. a decoding site?

Thanks everyone in advance...

The new Filling Station catalog came out in the early part of July.

If you are talking about the oval head slotted screws for the window garnish mouldings they were nickel plated, not brass. Go here for a good source for fasteners: http://www.mcmaster.com/

Yes, there is a site that will decode your car serial number and any other information that you have. The site is right here on Chevy Chatter II! Just post your numbers and we will decode them for you.

Say Dog,
Where can I find the clip that goes on the front chassis horn, to screw the brass screws into that holds the front sheet metal apron on. The piece under the radiator of my 1930 truck.
I had to cut the bolt off and haven't been able to find a replacement clip. It's heavy duty.
Thanks

You would probably have to find those special clips from a parts supplier that has used vintage parts in stock....like Gary Wallace or possibly chevy b. Chevy b posts on this site, and you can contact Gary Wallace via his web site: http://www.20schevyparts.com/

Who's that?
I made an order and didn't ask for a new catalog. Trying to be environmentally responsible!
