Way back in the early 1920's, the National Park Service was trying to promote, in particular, the western parks. Because of the poor road system in the country, the National Park to Park Highway Association was formed to promote tourism and good roads. Their motto:
YOU SING "AMERICA" - WHY NOT SEE IT?
Motto is still applicable today.
