I just purchased a new cowl vent drain hose from a vendor and it hangs down about 8 inches from the firewall hole in my 47 Fleetline. My old drain hose only hung down about 1/2 inch. Does anyone know the proper length that the hose should hang down the firewall?

Thanks for your help.

Hey Perol,

Here's a pic of the drain hose that was in my 48 Fleetline when I bought it back in '03. I believe it was the original. It hangs down about 4.5 inches from the hole in the cowl. I don'tknow if that's "correct" or not...... I think it depends on where you want the water to drip bigl wink

So to further confuse and amuse you, here it is......

Good Luck

I have an NOS 40-48 cowl drain hose somewhere in my stock. Send me a PM if you want me to go find it. I can shoot you a picture of it. I would gladly sell it, but it is nearly pertified.
