I'm starting to think about the upholstery for my '34 Standard Coupe. That will be the main project this fall and winter. I have been able to figure out most everything else with much help from many of you. But I do not seem to be able to find much on the interior. I may go with Lebaron-Bonney but there is a gal in my area who does great restoration work at a very reasonable price. If any of you could be so kind to send me some pictures that would help me or direct me to a source, I would be very grateful! So far, the only help in this area is seeing Mike Russell's '35 Standard. But I would like to see pictures of a '34. Mike, if you read this, I hope to catch you again when I'm in Columbia. Hopefully it won't be raining this time.

You are in luck. A '34 Standard just appeared on EBay Motors. Item #160447448324. There's good pics of the front and back seats: ORIGINAL interior.
Since this car is for sale, you might watch where it goes. It might sell cheaper than you can finish yours.

Johnny,
I just saw the car on Ebay then opened up this site and found your reply. I wish the car had better pictures but it is helpful to see. I have almost everything finished but the interior. It was in the family back in the late 30's and early 40's then found by my father-in-law in 1979. Restoration has proceeded slowly since then. I'm guessing it will sell less than what we will have in our car by the time we add up the total spent. Thanks for the post!

May I give you an idea? Contact the seller and ask if he would be willing to take more pics for you. Offer to pay for film, processing, mailing, if he takes them on film. Hope- fully he will use a digital camera and be able to send them to you via email.
Again, good luck!
PS How did you like his car? Nice, huh?

He has posted some more interior pictures but he has a split front seat while mine is a bench. Is there anyone out there that has a '34 Standard Coupe? Or is mine "very rare". I would still appreciate your time in sending some pictures if you have one. Johnny, his car looks to be in very good original condition. It would be nice to see it in person.

All coupes had a solid bench front seat. All 4 doors had a solid bench seat. All 2 doors had a pair of folding bucket seats.

Chevgene,
Thanks for your reply. You verified what I understand about front seats. What I meant (tongue in cheek) when I said "very rare" was that I can't seem to find anyone in the VCCA who has a '34 coupe. Dave Sylvain (tech advisor) has been a great help, but some interior pictures would really be helpful. I'm a visual learner!

You will find that the 1933, 1934 and 1935 Standard coupes have ABOUT the same interiors. Perhaps this will expand your search.

Chevgene,
Thanks for answering my next question before I asked it!
