Hello,

Can anyone recommend a safe way to remove over sprayed paint / gunk from an aluminum (I think its aluminum) ID Plate found inside the engine bay.

The lettering is ok, I wish to recover / restore it as safely and as best as I can for display.

Thanks Everyone!

Any solvent based paint remover should do the job. You might also lightly brush with an old toothbrush. Don't even think about any of the caustic paint removers or media, bead or sand blasting.
