What's the take on the below listed eBay item by my fellow '29 Chevy Nuts? I personally would like to find a nice set of wood ones for my car.
The '29 coach I had in High School had a set of them on it.

eBay item # 8064632045

Hi Captain,

I saw this too. The hub is different than the wire wheels that are on my '29 Four Door. Mine takes a larger hub cap with the lug nuts underneath. I don't know which is "correct" for the '29.

eldredjames,

Dude it sounds like you might have '30 or '31 Chevy wires. Are they 19" inch?
1929 was the only year for 20" tires on passanger cars, not sure of commercial vehicles. Do you have a set of 1929 Chevy service news? I forget which month, but one them shows a write up on '29
Chevy wire wheels with pictures.

You are so right Captain. 19" and don't match the picture in the Service News. Now how do I find out which ones they are? The parts manual lists several for 30, 31 and 32. It would be nice to know if I ever get around to replacing the hub caps.

I'll just add this to my growing list of non-original parts: mongomery wards horn, auxiliary temperature guage, auxiliary horn button, water powered heater.

Check page 36 of the April '02 and page 14 of August '02 G&Ds for information on the '30 to '31 wire wheels. The '32 & '33 Master & Eagle wheels were similar but 18". All wire wheels '30-'32 and '33 to early '34 1/2 ton trucks used the same hubcap. The '33 Master were the same size but different appearance.
