Hello Rafael63, Welcome to Chevy Chatter II. You'll be able to find lots of info here. For your 28 AB, try The Filling Station ( www.fillingstation.com). Part number FS-937 is the Parts Book for the 28, and part number DG-116 is the Repair Manual. You can also find online information at Keith Hardy's site: http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/Good luck with your restoration, and once again, welcome. Happy Motoring, Dan

I am not Dan, but I do have a 1928 AB National Sedan. There are several vendors that sell parts and books for this year model on line: The Filling Station is good and so are these two.... Gary Wallace : http://www.20schevyparts.com/Stanley's parts: http://www.stanleysparts.net/And several others.

Hi Rafael63,
I do not have a 28, mine is a 1930 Coupe. But good folks like MrMack will be able to help you with the more specific questions for your car.
Happy Motoring

Several of us have '28 Chevys. Most of the major mechanical parts are described and pictured in the Repair Manual. The reprinted parts book contains some pictures but a listing of nearly every single part originally on the car.
The original carburetor is a Carter RAKX-0 or (C-RAKX-0). The carburetor has "CARTER" and the identification raised letters cast into the cast iron body.
The fuel pump is a vacuum type, Stewart Warner Model 493C. It has a stamped steel cover held on by four screws.
The generator is a REMY model 943B
The Starter is a REMY model 910D
The Distributor is a Delco-Remy Model 635 B.
I have sent you a personal message (PM) with more information.

The Starter is a REMY model 910D My Delco-Remy book shows that the starter for 1928 is a model 710-D.
