Does anyone make one?

Every ad I can find for a 37 gas tank says except for coupes.

Mine is original and I drove the car to High School a few decades ago.. so I think I can have it cleaned out... but was thinking a new tank would be quicker and even might add a gallon or two...

Any suggestions on a tank that will fit in the stock location?

Looks like $740 is the going price.

For $740.. I'll just have my original tank boiled out and gold plated...LOL

I didn't think my original was saveable but when faced with the same decision you face I was able to save it. I acid cleaned the inside, brazed the pin holes shut & coated the inside with RedKote.

Yep.. Ive seen articles for do it yourself guys to save old tanks...
And a local radiator shop was passing out cards at a show last year and they said they restore gas tanks...
Will try one or the other... $740 has to go farther for me than a gas tank....LOL

Try The Filling Station, $215.
Also, Chevs of the 40's, $215.
Both original style mild steel.

Chevs tank won't fit the coupe.
Neither does the Filling Station tank.

Yep... Check the fine print...
Every tank for a 37 Chevy says somewhere.. not for coupes.

If it were me...

Sheet metal shops can build one alot cheaper. All they need is a pattern.

I bought one for my 53 pickup from Quanta Products. Fit perfectly. I did a quick check and it looks like they have one for the 38.
Best, Charlie
