I would like to explore how judges would evaluate accessories.
Example, I have rare original grill and bumper guards, fog lights, radio and antennae and whitwall tires/beauty rings etc. that should make a restored 1946 1/2 ton really stand out from the competition. Will judges accept these accessories under factor class judging standards or do I need to include them only in Show quality presentation meets?
Thanks for your views,
Ken

Judging includes all accessories. If it is there it will be judged, if it ain't there, it won't be considered.

In most cases, cars without any upgrades of attachments will score higher in judging.

For VCCA judging accessories will not add or deduct points as long as the accessories are correct, genuine Chevroolet accessories for your year and moded. All vehicles start out with 1000 points. From there points are deducted for incorrect parts, accessories , missing parts and condition of the vehicle.
If you have rare accessories it is best to have documentation with you to verify they/it is correct.. Documentation could be a parts book, sales or accessory catalog or any otherCHEVROLET publication.
Accessories will not make your truck "stand out from the competition".....but a first class correct restoration will.
White wall tires were not an option in 1946 for a truck. Infact they were not available for anything until late 1947 but I doubt if a deduction would be made for them.
By the way, what fog lights do you have?

They are Guide lights with oval plate. Do you need any more info on them?

If they have the small 4 5/8" lens they are correct. You don't have to reply to me here.
I did some research on this last year.
