Where was your car built? Is it right-hand drive? Please take a close-up photo of the Fisher Body tag plate on the firewall and the Chevrolet Car No. plate from the right side seat frame board. What is you engine serial number and block casting date?

Your car was built at the St Louis plant according to the S prefix in the Body No. S963. Any more numbers?

Looks like this convertible landau can also be added to the list of documentation to prove that the convertible landau was made in more than just one factory. And, it appears carcachero's car was the 963rd convertible landau made in the St. Louis factory. This information also helps to refute the "only 300 made" theory.

This is listed in this weeks Old Autos paper, a Canadian weekly we have up here. Sorry to break it to you guys, but this seller has the 'official' count down to 296!! Maybe after he unloads it, he'll share in our discussion about how popular they really are!! I wonder if it's blue like other Canadian ones?

Yep...the incorrect figures of "296" and "300" have been haunting the old car hobby for years and it is probably going to take many more years to correct this fiasco.
