Well, I retimed the engine per the procedures and now the car won't start at all. I checked the spark at the plugs and it appears weak. My points don't look old but the moveable part can easily move up and down. I think I have either a bad coil, points, or rotor. Where do I start?

Bob run a hot wire from positive battery to coil terminal that does not go to distributor, if this jumper works you have a problem with your wire loom ignition switch side. if this does not work try filing points cleaning contacts. See if that works. Ken 45145

Hey Roger! If your car is a 1929, for a better response you might want to post it in the 1929-32 forum and in the "Cars For Sale" forum, instead of here in the 1912-28 forum. Good luck my friend!

Bobkra, A weak spark could a sign of a bad or missing condensor or bad condensor ground. The coil alone will give only a weak spark. Try a 6V condensor from the parts store and see if that works. It did for me. Hutch
