Hi:

I am new to the forum. I bought a few months ago a 1934 Chevrolet woodie on commercial half-ton chassis. I have a few questions which I am hoping you guys can help me with.

First of them would be the sidemount fixing hardware. My Chevy has a sort of heavy tab on the fender, at the front side of the tire, but then something adapted in the back.

At the cowl, it has some sort of internal bracket with reinforcements at the firewall and on the side, where a threaded stud comes out. That is all I have.

I would love to include a pic, but I just can't find out how to do it. I can email pics to whoever wants to see them.

How can I know what I am missing? Would anybody have pics of the full setup?

Thanks,
Victor

Oooops! I was so excited with the idea of getting pictures that I made a serious typo. It is of course a '34 woodie.

Thanks!

I got a picture from Pat that shows most of what I need to know. I know I am missing a rod, the clamp that holds the tire, plus whatever locking thing to hold the clamp to the rod and tighten the tire.

What I still don't know is how does that rod fastens to the truck in it's bottom part, either chassis or fender. Can anybody shed some light here? Pics would surely be a lot of help.

I am missing all of those components. I only have the fender exterior part, and the rod comming out of the side of the car (fastened via an internal support all the way to the firewall).

Would anybody have any of them available and would be willing to sell them?

Thanks,
victor
