My 1925 Superior K has no tail pipe just 6 1/2" holes on the end. Is this stock? I'm thinking of using STP in the gearboxes.

I believe the tailpipe was introduced sometime in 1925. There is no mention of it in the early (March 1925) literature, but it shows up in the 1926 literature. Maybe Ray can give us a date when they started showing up on 1925s. In the meantime there was a discussion about this earlier and you can follow this thread to learn more. Roger

The reference about the thread above just about covers the exhaust system. I have a PARTS PRICE LIST for the SUPERIOR K undated, however by checking several parts it is evident it is a midyear parts list. It lists a Muffler Tail Pipe, with Support Bracket 344699, and Bracket 344700. The September OM shows the long tail pipe. If someone has a August OM they could check for us and post their findings.

1922c My April 1925 parts book doesn't list a tail pipe. My July 1925 owners manual doesn't show it either. The Sept. owners manual is the first place I see a tail pipe.
