I have a 1956 Chevrolet bread truck/step van, I am trying to find out some information on it. I do know it has a all aluminum body,a inline 6 that partially runs not real sure the exact engine size. I have looked all over the internet for more information on this vehicle but cant even find one picture on it. I basically would like to know how many of these are out there, how much it is worth, if it is rare, and any other information anyone has.

There were several different companies that made van bodies for step vans. There should be a plate on the body such as Union City or ? Many had the van body installed after the truck was assembled and the body was not a Chevrolet product. I believe the boddies Chevrolet used were steel and had a Chevrolet name plate in chrome on both sides.
It would have had a 235 engine.
Its rare because most were well used and junked. It would have very little demand and the value would depend on condition.
