Dear Members,
1929 AC roadster. Australian car, driver on right side. A couple of years ago there was a thread on routing the cable from speedo to transmission, but I got to admit I couldn't follow it completely. On my gearbox the exit for the speedo cable is on the right hand side, ie, facing the battery. There is supposed to be a supporting bracket for the cable attached to the chassis. I have this bracket though it is pretty mashed (http://home.online.no/~daveg/speedo_cable.jpg). Exactly where does this bracket bolt on to the chassis or elsewhere, and what is the path of the cable from trans to floorboard? From the floorboards and up it's pretty obvious, even I figured that one out. Grateful for any help.
Thanks, Dave

I can reply to my own question. Thanks to member Ian Burke with the same model, I now find out that the speedo cable on right-hand drive cars also exits on the left, not on the right as in my case. The gearbox has evidently been assembled wrong.
