I bought my car titled as a 1931 2 door sedan, but many identified it as a 1930 because of the fenders and headlight bar. I think it may be a 1931 with 1930 parts. There are no markings on the body that will identfy the year and it has a Californa re-issued VIN number. I am sure that the frame is origional, is there something about the frame that will hint at the year?

The rear crossmember has a lot more pressings and shape to it (1931 and 32 are the same).
The 1930 and 1929 are basically flat with just the bends at the front and rear.(one has rectangular cutouts for 1929 -30 and the other is filled in)

How about dates on the engine, head, and transmission? At least that will give us a starting point.

The rear crossmember which covers the fuel tank at the back will look the same as this on 32confederate's phaeton chassis.1931 and 1932 rear crossmember is the same.

Thanks, that looks like mine. I probably need to find a picture of a 1930 to compare.
