Just Thinking, Is there a way to open the Hood if the Hood Latch wire should break on a 1940 Stock Car ?

You can use a long thin object such as a screw driver and go between the grille bars and move the locking "thing".
You could have some one pull the button in and out and look between the grille bars and see what is moving. This will help you to know what to do should the wire break or??
