I am converting a manual 3 speed to a 2 speed powerglide. I need the configuration of the tubes from the transmission to the radiator for a 250 6cyl engine. a photo would be helpful/ a dimensioned drawing or a tracing would be perfect!! I also need the exact location of the inlet & outlet where the tubes connect to the radiator (dimensions please). I also need the configuration of the kick down linkage from the transmission to the carborator (dimensions,a tracing or a photo would be appreciated).

Mel, What year and what model car is this? Full sized, Chevelle, etc. Also remember to remove the pilot bearing from the crankshaft.

I have an old B body radiator with tranny cooler and would be happy to take measurements to locate the in/out fittings, if that would help you. Let me know, as I'll need to dig it out from behind my toolbox to get to it. a fellow VCCA member faxed me the location....turns out that there are 2 flat spots on the bottom tank of all radiators made for the fittings, but I appreciate your offer.......now if I can locate the dimensions/shape of the lines from the powerglide to the radiator for a 6cyl.

The vehicle is a 1966 biscayne 2 dr w/a 250 6 cyl.with only 17,500 actual miles! I need to convert to a powerglide because of the limited use of my right side.I appreciate the heads up on the removal of the pilot bearing!!

I doubt very much if there is a cooler behind the flat spots. If nothing else you could run the present radiator and add an external cooler.....at least for now.
