I see alot of manuals at the fillin' station but im not sure which one i need. I just want one that tells about maintenence, engine rebuilds, clearances and basic car/chassis maintenence. So far all i see is to hotrod a sovebolt 6 which is the last thing i had in mind. Im not sure which manual i need.

The basic books you need are: an Owner's Manual, a Repair Manual, a Parts Book, and a set of the Chevrolet Service News for your year and ideally, a year before and a year after. Reprints are all you need so you can take them into the shop for reference while your are working.

First a single book does not exist. I am sure that a few others will help if you want to write one. As is the case with most subjects it takes multiple references to research a topic.
