parking I am looking for information on parking a camper, either a small self-contained vehicle or trailer, at Hershey in October. I contacted the AACA and all they could tell me was that someone rents space for campers near one of the entrances but that was it. Does anyone have contact information for anyone who might rent camper space? I have only been there once for a day and got rained out. I would like to spend a few days there this year, rain or shine. Thanks, Beamer

I though the AACA had a map of the meet that showed a motor-home parking but I think there are for all self contained units. I know you did a inter-net search for campground near by.

Try Hershey HighMeadow Campground on 1200 Matlack Road. Phone 717-534-8999. If they are not the closet to the Hershey swap meet, ask them if there is a closer campground.

This year will be 40 years at Hershey for me.

I camped at Hershey for many years before I got my vendor spaces When I camped there this is how it worked. Herco rents the spaces on a first come first served basis. I used to get there a couple of days early to get good spots for me and others that camped with me. They wanted cash up front. If you didn't get there early you might not get a space. I don't know if it is the same now. The last time I camped there it was $35.00 a night from the time you arrived until the last day of the meet. There were no hookups and you could not put out your awning. That way they got more campers in. Good luck

Thanks for the info. Who is Herco (Hershey Company)? Do you know how to contact them? Beamer

Herco is Hershey Chocolate Company They own all of the property where the meet is held. You may have trouble getting to the right person. I would try to get a contact person and phone number from the AACA.

HERCO is Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company. They own all of the park, parking lots, resorts etc. in the area. The Hershey Company is the chocolate manufacturer. Go online and find HERCO. I have been going to Hershey since 1965, it is the antique car High Holy Week.
