All my lights work---headlight and park lights. I have power to the rear socket, but when I put a bulb in---nothing. Changing bulbs does not help. What am I doing wrong?

Likely the socket or the lamp itself is not making a ground connection to the body.

With the lights on and the bulb in place, ground the base of the bulb with a jumper wire and see if the light comes on. If it does then you have a bad ground like Neil mentioned.

Thanks guys. That's what was the problem. Cleaned off the paint at contact points, and the light worked great. I should have known better!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep...paint and a good ground don't go together.
