Just thinking if anyone follows up or has heard from one or two of the eBay buyers who's cars get mentioned here.
The one that interests me is that real nice original 31 a few weeks ago. Remember it had the oiler thing on the firewall. I'm not sure if it sold due to not meeting the reserve.
Now we are watching the 29 Landau.
Who ever buys these cars should join the Club and join us here.

Well, don't know if I should admit this, but I bought my '29 on eBay last year. I joined before the car even arrived. Glad I did. Needed lots of help with the brakes and sources for other parts.

Now that I got the brakes and rear seals repaired, and replaced the starter, the muffler fell off. God only knows where the water started dripping when I tried to hand crank it. The fun is fixing it right?

Word to the wise: Be wary of everything in the eBay posting. "Restored in the 70's" turned out to mean the floor is indoor/outdoor carpet and the seats and panels are covered in velour. Oh, well, there are no holes and the outside paint is nice. And I really like the wire wheels. Some day I will scrape off the 500 layers of cracking paint and redo them.

I'm going to guess all those other eBay owners are here, but laying low.

Cheers all, and thanks for all the advice and help.

By the way, I'm still glad I bought it!!!

Jim from Temple City.

Good for you Jim. Welcome aboard.
By the way, consider yourself lucky that your car has indoor outdoor carpet and not the shag type.
I hope those other buyers are here too. To the guy that bought that 31; you are the Lucky Dog! It's an awesome find.
