Warner Robins is a great place and The Central Georgia Region does an outstanding job putting on an event like this. You will get a taste of Southern hospitality that you won't soon forget. The last Area 9 Meet there (I think that was in 06) had some truly awesome cars. A few that impressed me there was a 63 red Impala SS that had been in the members family since it was new, a 40 Master Deluxe, a 49 Fleetline, a 34 Master coach, a 54 and a 63 Corvette. There were many more, like a red 53 BelAir convertible, but I can’t remember them all. I can’t wait to see what shows up this time. Be sure to look Don and I up when you get there.

Bobg1951 chevy,

I hope you've seen this thread. And, also hope you've registered for this meet. Sounds like it must be pretty close to you. Seems like this would be a good "first one" for you to attend.

I can't emphasize how much fun these national (formerly known as "regional") meets can be. I've been to around a couple dozen and never been to a "bad" one.

I have been to every Area 9 meet and there has not been a bad one in the bunch! They all have their unique personality. Held a little late this year but still looking forward to seeing great cars and people.

I can't over-emphasize how much fun a guy can have at one of these meets. Being from the Northwest, I've never been to an "East Coast Meet (Area 9) in Georgia" --- but I've been to most every NW Meet since the 10th in 1978. And around 8 or 10 All-Cal Meets. I've always had a good time.

Regardless if you have your car judged or go to enjoy the tours and the folks and seeing a bunch of neat old Chevy's; Meets are really a fun time.

I'd encourage you guys that have never been to a meet to attend this one, especially if it's in your area.

My 2 cents....

Bill.

Last count from the Meet Chairman said 69 registrations, 62 cars. This meet has been growing steadily each year, and is always a great time.

I just got back from the VCCA SE Regional meet in Byron, GA. We had a GREAT time! Lots of beautiful cars, super weather, ineteresting tours, and fun people. The host Region did a super job with the arrangements and the entire weekend was a blast. We'll definitely do this again! Thanks, guys!

yay thanku carbana
