Hello everyone,
As a new member, I would like to say thanks for all of the information posted here. I have learned more in 2 days than i have in the last 6 months I have been working on my 29 sedan. I have a collection of 1929 and 1930 color chips, most combinations and would like to know if anyone needs to use them to help match paint, or a place I could donate them to so everyone would have access if there is a need. I know I will be needing parts and help as I go through my restoration and this is a small way I know I might could help. Let me know! Thanks!

I would think the best way to give back to the vcca chatter II is to hang on to your paint chips, join the vcca and become a member you will find it a grear value. also you will be able to post pictures on the members only sites and when some one needs the use of your paint chips you can post them and share that way.
you will find the help on this board is unending and free for the asking.

Could you scan the chips/charts and send them to me, please? I am asking on behalf of Chevrolet Club of Norway. We have collected most charts from 1931 to 1973 and intend to scan them and put them on the pages after the database has arrived on these pages.

The color charts on that link start not older than 1935 model year. Before that there is only text describing the colors.

That is incorrect. You can view the color chips for the 1930 Chevrolet and other years as well. I just viewed the color chips for my 1930 Chevrolet.

Here is the link to the color chips for the color combination on my 1930 Chevrolet:

Thanks, but where did you find it? When writing Chevrolet and year only the text is coming up.

And the shown page is not mentioning to which model year.

I would appreciate a little more explanation, thanks.

Just follow the instructions given on the site to get to the color chips. That is how I found the chips.

You must view the charts with the magnifier first to get the year and the IM number of the chip in question. You use that IM number to find which group the specific IM number falls into and then you click on that link and it takes you to the color chips.

The IM numbers shown on the charts for each year correspond to the IM numbers on the color chips. The link on my last posting is for 1930. I used color combination number 37 as an example and the link for that page of the color chips is the link that was posted. There are several different pages of color chips represented for each specific year.

Also, the color chips shown for Chevrolet on that site go back into the 1920's.

For me to get to it I had to go to the site, then follow the red arrow and click on select make, then hit select year and the page came up again and then I clicked on select year again and then the years came up.

That's pretty interesting how you have to keep clicking around. On the later cars, the color chip just sort of pops right up. cool That's much easier...
