Ok Thanks. Where can I find the 1/4" headlight conduit that goes to the headlights and horn, preferably stainless? The ones at the filling station are too big.

Lets go for three out of three. I need the carriage bolts that go in the headlights on my 31. The ones that the acorn nuts go on. Any body know where I can find them in stainless?

Try one of the bolt companies ( www.boltdepot.com, www.barnhillbolt.com, www.nutsandbolts.com), or McMaster-Carr ( www.mcmaster.com) or Google "carriage bolts".

Thanks chipper. The ones sold a these places are normal carriage bolts with the flat bottom. The ones in the head light buckets have been turned with a taper on both sides of the head. If I can't find them I'll take a normal set and taper the heads my self.

You will be far better off to taper the heads yourself. Might take years to find original ones and likely they will be used and need some fixin'. No point in delaying. Been there done that and finally learned to just get 'er done.

Finding these bolts is harder than I thought. No one carries them locally. They are 7/16-20 thread 1-3/8 long. I guess I'll order them in stainless from bolt depot today. I have acess to a lathe and will turn them myself. Thanks for the information and comments.

Wow, no one carries these in fine thread. Lucky I kept the old ones. Never throw any thing away!!! I guess I'll dig out my thread cutting skills I learned in machine shop and make them myself.
