Looks like a cool project Dean. Looks like you started your restoration with the front bumper.:) Keep taking pictures. You can NEVER have enough when the time comes to put it back together. bana2

Hope you didn't scratch it while unloading. laugh Really, should be a great project. Will fit right in with the woody & truck.

Thanks for the replies. Gene, you have a sharp eye. The second owner started to work on this car. He pulled some of the larger parts off including the bumpers and had them re-chromed. They are all wrapped up and look really nice. He also had the wheels stripped, painted and installed new tubes and tires. Then he put it in a barn thirty one years ago! So I feel very lucky here.

I will be replacing the floor panels and the inner and outer rockers to start. There has also been some hack body work done to keep it on the road. That will need fixing. The motor is of course my favorite piece of machinery! I am addicted to these old Chev sixes!

One thing that I am trying to research right now is finding proper front floor pans. The ones that are being made don't seem to be too correct in detail including no battery access hole.

Fred,

That is a great looking car. It appears that you have a little more work to do than I had to do on my '37. All it takes is time and $$$$$$ and you will be driving around enjoying it.

Good luck with this project,

Rich

Richk,
thanks for the reply. This car is in much better shape than my truck was when I started on it. I will enjoy the repair process, as long as it takes. I really appreciate the design of these fine old vehicles.

I saw this car on EBAY! Congratulations, it looks like a great project. I just finished the same project! Found mine in a junk yard in 1967!

Yes I and looking forward to it being a great project!

I just realized that there were posts referring to "the woody" in my webshots. That car woody was one that we saw in Maine a few years ago. It was so interesting that I took some photos. The documents in the photos are from the wooden body maker explaining all the different options and the costing of their bodies that they supplied.
