How many wires should be on the ammeter. And where should they come from. The diagram in the manual and that I downloaded is not very detailed.

One heavy gauge wire going from the ammeter to the starter switch.

One Heavy wire on the other side going to the Generator cutout/ relay. With 2 smaller wires on this side, one going to the lighting switch, and the other going to the electrolock switch.
