WOW!! What a beautiful car.
I'm sure it took a lot of hours & lot of $$$ went into completing such a nice car.
As you know, VCCA represents about 90% stock or restored Chevy's. But there's a web site where you'll find a lot of Chevy's similar to this one. I'm also sure they would enjoy seeing this car. {www.chevybombs.com} In So. Cal. the Caffeine Cursers meet for coffee on Sat. mornings. There's a wonderful guy named "Price" who owns many customized and stock cars. He owns a beautiful customized, bright Candy Green coupe like the one above. One Saturday I parked my stock '41 Admiral Green coupe next to his customized coupe. The people had a great time comparing those cars. One body/frame item on his car is stock and can not be changed. The radiator support. Seems it's part of the engineering integrity of the car.
Not sure what it is, but the lines of a 41 Chevy are so well done, it looks great stock, modified and customized. But maybe I'm prejudice. Thanks for sharing ML. and I know your aware the other web site.
Enjoy the ride, Michael41

I look at a car like that and say: WHY? Let's face it, that you could not drive that car on a tour or even to a gathering. So what do you do with a car like that except to carry it from place to place for people to look at. Don't get me wrong, I defend his right to do anything to/with that car he may desire.

Since I didn't post that subject, I guess it's ok to comment on someone elses thread. That car is from Finland. Check out the plate. It is beautiful. Almost a piece of art instead of a car. ![[Linked Image from inlinethumb09.webshots.com]](http://inlinethumb09.webshots.com/45704/2062884140029539674S600x600Q85.jpg)

Heck I don't know the owner but my guess regarding, what do you do with a car like that, is enjoy it.
I met a VCCA member at the last anniversary meet who had the nicest biz coupe I have ever seen. Or maybe ever will see. I believe he said, after he backed it out of his trailer, "I have owned this car for X years and put less than 100 miles on it." He sure was proud of that car, as well he should be. It was a beauty.
So enjoyment comes in all sorts of ways.
Enjoy the ride, Michael41

I agree. I'm into more than one type of car. I like Corvettes,Camaros, streetrods, antiques and even some trucks. I don't think you have to pick just one and stick with it. I have two Corvettes, one which is new, and a new Camaro and the antique 38 coupe, but I would be open to a streetrod also to add to the group. Even the bombs are nice to look at going down the road. Glad to see you like other cars also.

I might be wrong but i though the v.c.c.a. was about the, ( dedicated preservation and restoration of all Chevrolet's. I to like corvettes, camaros, steetrods, antiques. That is why i belong to, chevy talk, try-five chevy, corvette action center, and the antique auto club of America. Each of these sites are special to me. I post each of my cars on the approbate site. I think people should respect what an origination is about and abide by the rules that they set. Just my opinion.

Your welcome to your opinion PK, but the guy was just sharing. Talk about slamming the door in someone face.
Maybe a warmer welcome with less structure and more openness would entice someone to join VCCA, once they get a car you approve of.
And it's NOT disrespectful to share. Geeze, Take a ride, Michael41

I have a huge appreciation for all cars, even those that are not "my style". I guess that means I am "car crazy". I have really hated to get rid of almost every car I have ever owned. It was like losing a good friend. (OK, maybe not the Yugo or the Renault Alliance, but most of the others :-))

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of all years of Chevrolets. Through the pages of our award winning national magazine, the Generator & Distributor, our members share information and pictures on restoring their vehicles and their experiences touring with vintage Chevrolets. There are many activities through the year hosted by our regions, which include Tours, Swap Meets, Car Shows, National Area Meets, and an Anniversary Meet every five years. With your membership you will receive our monthly magazine, the G&D, which includes: How To Articles, Members Stories and Pictures, National and Regional Activities, Technical Advisors, Members Services, Cars and Parts For Sale (which is free to members) and a way to connect with other people who have a similar interest in restoring Chevrolets. We hope you enjoy your visit to our web site. Remember, you do not have to own a Chevrolet in order to become a member. Just possess a love of Chevrolets! I just copied the above from the home page. The picture I posted is a example of a well preserved and restored 1941 Chevrolet, though not original stock, at least its not a field car or some unfinshed lifelong project in someones garage'' The VCCA even states that one does not even have to own a Chevrolet'to join the club. Whether some members may not approve of my sharing a picture, at least I know how to post one on here.(in regards to another post) So why don't more of you that have more time than I do post up those pictures.'' I and or all of us VCCA members would love to see them. If anyone was offended by my post' all I can say is oh well' I will leave it up to the moderators as to whether thay want to pull it or not' I really don't care and maybe I will find a more freindly site)'(but not a approbate site like PK) WHAT EVER THAT IS? to share my love for the automobile. The internet is a modern tool that we can embrace and enhance our lives with as long as we are aware of who we are and what we stand for. Peace be with you' Mike Lendo Vcca # 27125

The VCCA is an absolutely marvelous club. Currently many of our members are debating exactly what direction we will take as an organization. How do we as the VCCA respond to Chevrolets that have been changed, modified, altered, pro-streeted, hot rodded, chopped, channeled, lowered, blown, etc. Do we change the VCCA mission statement which says: preservation and restoration of Chevrolets? The road to our future probably has many possible paths that can be taken. For me, whatever choices we make, let us agree as a club to be kind to one another. Whether you prefer bone stock Chevies or modified Chevies, the owners of both types of Chevrolets are usually great people. That is not the question. The question for the VCCA is: Does accepting modified Chevies into the VCCA increase the value of our club, or does it subtract value from the club? I know that some of our VCCA members have a Bone Stock Chevy that they drive to our VCCA events while at the same time they have a modified Chevy at home in the garage for use at the local cruize-ins.

Thanks Toolman for helping bring this topic back more towards the subject of Chevrolets, and help us all remember why we visit the chat site. While we all have our own favorites as to years and styles (and yes that is meant to include originals and modifieds) we need to remember that it takes all of us to keep promoting the hobby and invite new people to also become Chevy fans. Here is where we part company: The picture I posted is a example of a well preserved and restored 1941 Chevrolet, though not original stock, at least its not a field car or some unfinished lifelong project in someones garage'' How can you possibly use the word RESTORED? Take a look in your Funk & Wagnall and under restored you will NOT see a picture of that car. This crime is as bad as the rods with a F(&D radiator shell and titled as a 193?. No other part on the car is even in our imagination as being around in 193?.

I agree with Mike's posting. Further, the name of the VCCA is Vintage Chevrolet Club of America. It doesn't say Vintage Stock Chevrolet... or Vintage Customized Chevrolet... etc. Nor do we exclude folks who live outside America from joining. We have members from all over the world even though the club is not called the Vintage Chevrolet Club of the World. IMHO, I think we all tend to get a little closed-minded at times and fail to see the big picture. The photo that started all this is of a 1941 Chevrolet which is a vintage car. What difference does it make if it is all dolled up? I, too, prefer unadulterated vehicles but I can be accepting of others and I think that is what the VCCA is all about; being receptive to all vintage Chevrolets. Beamer

That's definitely one wild-[bleeped] 41 coupe. I guess it's kinda neat looking, altho honestly it's pretty much over the top for me. Frankly, it's easy to see how strict interpretation of the VCCA mission statement guys would have a cat. Altho ya gotta admire the work; and probably shake your head about the amount of time and $$$$....
