can anybody tell me how to get a title straight in new jersey? my 1931 has a title that is for a 29 thats how i bought it and now its time to insure it and i am arfaid that i may have a problem (car 31 title 29) i went to dmv and they checked back and said the mistake must have been made some years because it was an out of state transfer i have heard about some title companys but dont know who to call any help will be apperciated

No - its just that every state has a different way of handling these matters.To keep it "legal" i would try to find some one in the N.J. DMV that could advise as to how to do it correctly.

It not a sore topic, just a little tricky here in Jersey. I had to go thru it when I registered my coupe after loosing the out of state signed over transfer from the guy I purchased the car from.
