I finally dug up the old wire harness out of the box of parts I got with the car when I bought it, what a mess!
All the wires were rotten and falling apart, so I am going to make a new harness.
I have been following the electrical diagram in the 1928 repair book, but noticed that on the back of the light switch, there is no wire going to the Dim screw.
What does the (Dim) control??

That is correct, the dimmer is the resistor on the back of the switch. Bright is straight through, dim is routed through the resistor to drop the voltage.

Is this resistor built into the switch or is it a seperate unit that attatches on the back of the switch(Dim)screw??

The resistor is screwed onto the terminals on the back of the switch.
