I'm trying to find out if anyone has info to decode a VIN tag for a 57 Chevy that was supposed to have been made in Oshawa, Ontario. So far, anything I've found only shows how to decode a tag for US built cars in 57. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

A Canadian 1957 BelAir 2 door hardtop serial number would read like this
serial #71037D600001 and up.
7 = 1957
1037D = B.A. 2 door H.T. (same as in US)
Serial number began with 600001 - and up.
Is this what you are looking for?
