The first photo is the old draglink. Someone had welded a bead around the hole to prevent the ball from jumping out !!!!!! Whata DA. That could have killed someone (me).It cracked all along the weld...scary. The second photo is the finished job. I got WD40 everywhere ( I love that stuff). ![[Linked Image from inlinethumb24.webshots.com]](http://inlinethumb24.webshots.com/17367/2767669240029539674S600x600Q85.jpg) ![[Linked Image from inlinethumb63.webshots.com]](http://inlinethumb63.webshots.com/35518/2630837800029539674S600x600Q85.jpg)

This ole car looked really good, but it was a safety nightmare. The grease was pouring out on the rear brakes. The wiring had bare spots everywhere ( one fuse). The steering controls were dangerous to say the least. The tierod ends were jumping all over the place. The horn didn't work. I fixed all that. If I can get the glass in it and a few more small items maybe I can drive it a few miles. The tire tread is like new but the tires are dry rotted. I think I'm going to get 16 inch Artillery rims and wide whitewall radials. Stay tuned.

Speaking of grease, your drag link should have zerks at both ends. Pump'em full.

It is well known that insanity is hereditary - you get it from your kids.

It's good that you are getting all those safety items fixed. This is not a car to be involved in a wreck in. Let me suggest that you consider this as a source for tires. http://www.dbtires.com/tires.htmlI have their 16" WW radial tires on my car and they are GREAT. I did some internet research before buying these and found plenty of negative comments on some of the more popular brands that are out there. These tires are about 25% wider than the bias belted tires, but still fit fine. I am running them on original steel wheels without tubes, and, there is no issue with air leaks. I would post a picture here, but that is one thing that I haven't mastered. How are you doing this? Rich

It's hard to explain,I'll try. Go to webshots.com , register and start UPLOADING your photo from your computer to their host site. You'll have albums of photos that you can view from any computer. All this is free by the way. Click on a photo you like, you'll see options on the right side of the page letting you SIZE the photo. It will tell you which size is best for what you need. When you size the photo it will have a URL address. RIGHT click on the URL to COPY the photo then go to the message block, like we are in now and then RIGHT click again and PASTE it. That's it !! (If you are using a photo for an AVATAR choose the smallest size.)

Steve,
Thanks. I do understand this process. For some reason, I thought you, and others, had figured out how to directly post a photo in a message.
The AVATAR that I use I created from a photo then sized it per the requirements as listed.

Webshots is a PITA. Whichever hosting site you use you can insert a pic directly to the post by copying the url of your photo on the hosting site, put the cursor where in the post you want the pic, click on the fourth icon from the left above the text box (square with a pink triangle & two blue dots), select the positioning of the pic which will open another box, right click on the "HTTP://" in that box and paste the url of your pic. Click OK and then preview your post to make sure it's working OK. If everything's OK click "submit" and you have a picture in your post. I've used Webshots for years. Comcast, photbug, etc. all serve the same purpose. I'm glad more guys are posting photos. It makes it a lot more easy to understand things.
