It looks like the center piece of my hubcaps was gold. The bowtie on the hubcaps is now chrome, is it supposed to be chrome or the same blue as on the "Chevrolet" on the grill?
If the bowtie is supposed to be blue, is the raised edge of the bowtie to stay chrome or be painted gold or blue?

Thanks for any help you can give

Yes there is Ken, “a ton of good Chevy info on this site.....” and we are very lucky to have an archive like this at our disposal.
And I’d like to add that like your public broadcasting stations it’s free. But, some were down the line someone has to pay the bills. Keith just leaves it up to us to decide whether the information worthwhile. I’ve never heard him ask for help on any of the forums that I’m on so I’ll pipe up and say, it wouldn’t hurt to kick in a couple of bucks once or twice a year to help out with the costs to keep the site healthy. I can’t think of a better way to start the new year of right.

Great suggestion Denny ok iagree

Keith does a fantastic job of keeping really good informative info on his site. A little help once in while would be appreciated by him, I'm sure.

A while back "we" (those of us in non-geo deal) were talking about giving some money to somebody/something. Here's a chance for us to do something for one of "us."

How about all the chat non-geo region (chapter ??) members send $5 to Mike (Treas) and then Mike could forward the funds to Keith as a sort of "stimulus package." Heck, any regular chat guys could send $5 also.

Put a timetable on it. Like now thru Sat, Feb 28. Seems like that would create a "stimulus" (thank you) deal of around $100. Not a big amount; but it would show our appreciation....

Quorum, vote, etc. etc. - or - just do it???!??? I say, just do it!!

Bill.

If you have a pay pal account you could go to http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/ and make you donation thru pay pal he has a link to it there. I'm sure you could indicate it is from a VCCA member.

I for one will contribute to Keith. I have been using his site for a couple of years. It's also handy even if you have the manual so you can reprint the pages you need to take out in the garage to keep your manuals cleaner.

Dean,

Thanks for supporting the idea. I was hoping some of the chat chapter folks would respond. And either agree to sending the $5's to Treasurer Mike or offer some other method of collecting them and then forwarding one "larger" amount to Keith.

Let's hang in there and see what develops....

Good Idea Bill42! hows about if we send the money to you and then you can send it to Keith? It don't have to go thru the treasurer to work. You can then report it as a Chat Group Project. Make it after Feb. 28, so that all of our SS checks will be in!

We wouldn't want to publish your mailing address here on a public forum, right? If anyone needs your address have them send you a PM? Then you can screen them to suit yourself, ID theft and all that stuff, you know....
