Does anyone know if Autowood Restorations (Rodman) makes main sills for a 29 4dr sedan? Mine are junk. Does the different locations of the door lock pillar posts on a coach/roadster make the sedan sill a lot different? Are all 29 floor cross sills the same? Thanks for any information.

Yes, Autowood Restoration makes the main sills for a 1929 sedan. Jim Rodman probably has them in stock.

Thanks JYD. I have his phone number, somewhere, and I live 3 hours north of his shop.

Hey MikeB,
While I do not know for a fact whether Mr. Rodman has the patterns for a "'29 Sedan" in stock, I do know that Chevrolet made three different versions of a 4 door Sedan in 1929. So, you should be more specific when talking about this body style. Probably, you have a JOB NO. 8850 Standard Sedan as there were a lot of these made in '29. Maybe you have a JOB NO. 8910 Imperial Sedan, or if you are lucky you have a JOB NO. 8860 Landau Imperial. This is a rare model indeed. We have just shipped a partial Kit of wood frame parts to a gentleman in Mexico who has this model. Whichever you have, I hope you do a top-notch restoration, and again, when asking around for parts for your car, be specific. That is, have your JOB NO. at hand.Bill/KC Wood MFG

That is impressive. We are having a "lift the body off" party on saturday and by the looks of things we will need to replace some wood parts.
