While I was at trade school we had a complete drive line (engine, starter motor, manual trans and rear axle) that had a small external motor that turned it to show how how all parts operated. It was a good teaching aid but would have been a lot of work to setup. Tony

Very interesting, but fill us in on where that's at. I've wanting to cut a breather apart for a long time to see what's was really inside one. Seems like everyone you ask has a different opinion, but I just couldn't bring my self to destroy a part that never wears out. Thanks for the pix. Denny Graham Sandwich, IL

It came from a website called chevybombs.com Thousands of photos of 40s chevys that have been bombed. It's hispanic car clubs that spend a fortune dressing up their cars to the max. They pride theirselves on getting EVERTHING that was available for their chevys. Some have lift kits and pinstripes, etc. That photo was shown from a car club visit to a S.Cailf. museum for old cars. It didn't say what city it was located in. I really don't like EVERYTHING on a car but these guys are family types and work hard to have beautiful cars. Cool website. http://chevybombs.net/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=f2d2b1871723be4340726b202e05ac76&board=7.0

I looked at their website and for the most part, I liked the cars that I saw. Some are low riders and some are modified perhaps a little too much for my taste, but there are some real nice cars on their site. For the most part, they do not seem to be hacking the bodies into weird creations, but just dressing them to the MAX.

I have seen this engine when I was in CA. It is on display at a museum in San Diego. http://www.sdautomuseum.info/
