Can someone tell me the correct way to attach the kick panels in a 32. I see they slide into a slot but what holds them in the rear? I was thinking of using small wood scres with finish washers.

In my 31 they were just tacked. On a 32 I restored with a Hampton coach kit I tacked them with a fancy round head black tack that came in the kit. My 31 was factory original when I started.

The black cardboard kick panels are tacked to the bottom of the door frame post (A pillar post) using black round and domed head tacks. There also should be a 1/4" or so "leatherette" (vinyl) trim that the tacks would go thru at the rear (closest to driver) and next to the frame post.

If I remember correctly, that 1/4" leatherette trim extends up and in between the dashboard edge and the door edge post ending at the bottom of the windshield.

JYD, will know for sure!
