I have just purchased a 1929 Chevy AC International 2 dr coach nearly 100% restored. It has a rear carpet only, the front is a wood floorboard. Was the front floorboard just wood originally? Also were their any rubber boots at the base of the floor shift and emergency brake? I want to make sure that this is as close to original as possible. Thanks.

The front floor had a rubber floor mat with embossed Chevrolet bow ties and an emblem in the center that had the "Body By Fisher" logo.

The emergency brake and gearshift rubber boots are not correct. Those are a couple of items that I&I Reproduction dreamed up to make a buck.

Can you tell me where I might purchase this rubber floor mat? Thanks for your help.

Waynej,

Hampton Coach has it www.hamptoncoach.com.

So does the Filling Station. www.fillingstation.com.

I need one too, after a few other items are fixed. I got my '29 4-door a couple months ago. Someone "restored" it in the 70's so I have this wonderful indoor/outdoor carpet and velour seat covers. Send me a pic if you got em!
