I've seen two different styles of 41 fender skirt trim. One is a continuous, curved piece while the other is in two pieces (cut at/in the curve). I supposed the differences could be owing to two different jobbers. I think the continuous ones look better. (Just my opinion) What is the story on this? Charlie

Any questions about 1941 accessories can probably be answered by the 1941 series in the G&D on accessories.

Thanks Ray. Thanks Calmcar for answering my inquiry. I sure thought I'd seen one piece stainless trim. I guess I was wrong. I know about the short piece of trim below that goes in between the rocker moulding and the skirt trim. Those pieces will, do doubt, be hard to find. Charlie

I have OEM skirts for my 41, but do not have them on the car.

Thus my car has the Alum. body trim piece that aligns with the Skirt trim. What makes the alignment so nice is a small rubber "spacer" behind the alum. trim piece. Sort of wedged shaped.

A guy was looking at my car during a show this past summer and offered me obscene price for the trim/rubber pieces. Nope I did not take it. One day I may run the skirts.

For now the skirts are on my work bench, rubbed out, polished, shimmy and getting new rubber installed.

idea Speaking of which a question: what color was on the inside of the skirts ?

Enjoy the ride,

Juanz1947,
I'd sure like to see a picture of a one-piece stainless trim for 41 fender skirts. Everyone tells me that one-piece ones are aluminum.
Thanks,
Charlie
