I just went to a carshow in Knoxville,Tn. and saw a black 2 dr sedan sell for $48k. I couldn't believe it. Isn't that a little high?

I'm sure Gene will point out more errors but I see the wrong ash tray knob, wrong dash color, wrong garnish molding color, wrong shift knob, no stripes on the bumper & bumper guards, too many accent stripes down the side, wrong throttle knob, wrong choke knob, shift boot that doesn't belong and the PS wiper is 180 deg off.

Having said that it's still a nice car and value depends on how bad the seller want's to sell and how bad the buyer want's to buy. I would love to have it but not for $48K. laugh

Any vehicle is worth what the buyer is willing to pay. I wouldn't pay that much for any car. I would park that 38 in my garage any day if the price was right for me. Forget the judging and go touring.

But it has a gear shift lever boot wow
And why would you paint the steering (which looks incorrect) brown rather than matching the general interior colors.

When you can pick up that many errors on a couple of pictures imagine if you saw it in person.

Wonder if the mechnicals were restored?

About on quarter of that price would be more inline.

At $48,000 they are obviously dreaming. But...at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, it would probably bring that amount.

It has a 1955 235 cu in engine. Even I caught that much. It has a split exhaust manifold (dual exhaust). It also has halogen light bulbs with chrome rings around the headlights. It is not 100% correct. He had dozens of photos showing a frame-off restroration. The car was super slick, but not 100% correct.

It looks like it has the radio knobs and dial and it has the antenna on the passenger side, but I don't see a radio or speaker...

The gearshift boot looks like the one they sell for a Model A Emergency Brake Lever.

What is all that junk under the edge of the dash left of the steering column. One appears to be starter button, perhaps a horn button, wrong heater control, etc.

The halogen lights come with an internal parking light (on the reflector). I think one of those switches is for that. Another one is for backup lights.

Left of steering wheel appears to be 'starter' (letters str) button, back-up light
(letters b-lt) switch, horn button and heater fan switch. Odd stuff, but....

As for $48k, sounds like it sold for $48 - not just asking $48. Wow, somebody (with deep pockets and small cranium) musta wanted it bad. I'd say lucky seller....

Bill.
