I was wondering what was the last year for wire wheels on our old Chevrolets and what were the sizes (generally) for each year, when available, after say - 1927 or so. I'm thinking 1934 for last wire wheels but I'm not sure about it.

Were wire wheels ever offered as an option, or visa versa, in the same year?

What about wood spoke wheels?

What were the years Artillery wheels were offered.

How long did Chevrolet keep the same 6 lug bolt pattern?

I hope this the appropriate forum.

Thanks, Charlie

Wire wheels were last used in regular production in 1936. The 1935 and 1936 Master had the steel artillary wheel on all body styles except the coupes and trunkless (coach) 2 door. The 1935 Standard had wire and the 1936 artillary. There has been some debate as to the optional 19 inch wheels be of the wire type in 1936.
The artillary wheels were used in 1935 and 1936 on Most Masters and all 1936 Standards (except as noted)
The 6 lug bolt pattern was used from 1929 through 1948 on the cars (yes, the 4 cylinders used it also), on 1/2 ton trucks into the '70's
