Nice car. Must be all original, if so. it is a great example of what is meant by preservation. One of my problems is that I would rather see a well preserved interior than that way off, in my opinion, material that HC/L&B sells. Its pattern and stripe are too harsh. But what are you gonna do if the original is too far gone to keep it.

BTW: See Chevgene's comment about gearshift knobs. And, yeah, just how many do you have? It's like earrings and tattoos nowadays, how many is enough. My wife asked me that question once when I had three 41 cabriolets (none hardly above junk by western standards - real nice restorable by eastern standards). I told her I wanted them all. She still thinks I'm a little "tetched" in the head. Best, Charlie

Painted lines question......If I remember correctly the two little groves on either side of the tail lamp rims were filled with black paint in 1941 and plain from 1942-48. Is my memory correct or is it the other way around?

The 41 taillight door grooves were painted black. The park light doors had no paint. Don't know about the other years you mentioned. Charlie

What part of the car are you referring to when you said tail light door and park light door.

A head light rim, parking light rim, and tail lamp rim are refered to a a door in the parts book....Here on the Chat site I always refer to them as rims because that is what the average person might call them. In my many years in the parts dept. we always called the doors because ofthe description in the parts book, on the box they came in, etc.

Another really nice '41 Mike. You're a lucky boy!!

1941 is about as good as it gets for a model year. For Chev and actually for all the GM brands that year. Definitely a milestone year in my opinion....

Thanks Bill, I like 41's-but duh!!

Funny how we like certain years or styles. 41, 48, 55 & 56 all have a good vibe for me.

However at the TOP of my Dream Ownership list is a 41-Woody, or 57 Nomad. Just like them. Chevgene said he wanted to trade me his Nomad for my car, but I said "No Way Gene." Kidding!!! bigl bigl bigl

enjoy the ride,
