In 1950, when I worked for the Ouachita Radio Service, in Mena Arkansas, we had a 1938 sedan identical to your picture. We had two big speakers mounted on the top. They were connected to a very powerful amplifier with a microphone that fit around your neck. My boss, Jack Darr, was a master of
ceremonies at any large function, would drive the sedan up and down the streets in town, advertising any function that was eminent.

As the car radio expert I mounted a 1938 radio in the sedan. The on/off/volume control was removed from the radio and mounted through a hole in the dash. The radio did not have a tuning control. There was only one radio station
so the radio was set on that station and left there.

The sedan was also used to transport large console radios and TV sets to and from the shop.

Have not seen one of those sedan deliveries for a long time.

Wow!! Awesome car. I agree with Tiny. Let me know if you get tired of it. I will give it a good home right next to my '38 Sedan! Woud you do me a favor and email me a closeup of one of your wheels? My email is dougkrassow@peoplepc.com.

There should not be a comma in the email address above. I couldn't get rid of it. Sorry

Probably the only unrestored sedan delivery with a right hand tail light and fender lights.

Not to worry. I think that's part of Boss Man Barker's security for us.
Prevents those phishing, email harvesting creeps from getting "our"
email addresses and then sending us un-wanted junk offers
and that type of stuff.

Being a computer dummy, I'm sure my explanation isn't too good
technically. Hope you get the gist of what I'm trying to say....
