Hello --
For now, I am attaching a replacement column-mount horn button on my 1930 truck.I have seen from earlier postings to use 14 gauge wire to get the power from the generator. Should the wire to the button and ground be the same gauge or lighter?

Why not just replace the column bushing and wire with a first class replacement? One is available. Just had 100 made.

agree with chipper.not only will you have the correct wire and be able to use the stock horn button, the bushing will "tighten up" the steering col. shaft to mast jacket. Chippper can have one at your doorstep in a couple days. go for it. mike
