I have taken my wiper motor apart to clean and am puzzled. Under the heart-shaped cover I find the small plate that directs airflow between the three ports. This plate has ears on either side, and I suspect the toggle that is spring loaded and mounted in the axle serves to swing this plate from side to side. After putting mine together the toggle does not contact the plate. I have cleaned the hole in the axle that the toggle seats in, but it is not tightly seated in the axle. My question is does this toggle engage the plate? And if so, is there a gasket under the plate? Is there supposed to be an ear on bottom of toggle(mine is straight)? Only moving parts are plate, spring loaded toggle, and spring harness correct?

Thank you. Steve

You may want to check previous threads on wiper motors and get the address & number for Ficken Wiper Motor Ser.The owner is David Ficken and he is very knowledgeable and pleasant to do business with.Because a good rebuildable'32 motor is so scarce I would suggest using a professional.I sent him two motors and both were pretty worn out and I am very pleased with the work he did.
