Good day all.
I have a question about origional radiator shells. The shell has a 4 inch wide metal strap that goes under the radiator. This strap is held in place by 4 rivets on each side. The rivets have chrome heads while the strap doesnt look to be chrome plated. How was this done? Was the painted metal strap riveted to the chrome shell with chrome rivets?

Grind the rivets out and remove the metal strap before sending it the chrome shop. Filling station has chrome bolt replacements for the rivets. They worked just fine on my 29 coupe, and they look just like the chrome rivet heads.

Good Day all..
I couldnt find flat head chrome bolts in the Filling Station online catalog. Do the Filling Station bolts have a rounder heads then the origional rivets?
