We are currently restoring a 1950 chevy 3100 pick up and need to find answers to questions such as

1. Inner fender ( engine side ) finish was flat, semi, or gloss black?

2. Frame side of cab floor ( underneath ) was it body color, black, undercoated, etc?

3. Inside door frame body color? That is if the truck were green the interior metal door panel would be the same or were there options for complimentary colors. I have seen green with a tan color on the seat frame and door panels.

4. Interior seat material now available is black, brown, grey and maroon. Were all those used with green body color? Or were certain material colors used with the green exterior?

5. Are there any web resources for this kind of info all in one place?

Thanking you in advance

To get this started I will give some general answers.
The inner fenders were semi-gloss on bioh sides.
under side of floor black
door jambs were the tan interior color up to the area where the outter panel was welded and body color from there out.
The seat frame and door panels (metal part) and general interior metal was a tan.
Seat material was a described by Chevrolet as being a "rich shade of burgandy",,,,only one color was offered.
For cpmplete detailed descriptions you would need to contact the VCCA techical advisor for 1947-53 trucks. He can answer any and all questions. To contact him it is necessary to be a member of the VCCA but the investment wold be well worth the membership fee.

Hey Linc, here's a link to see some pictures of my '50 3100. I'm not going to say that it is 100% as original, but it's pretty close in most respects. Maybe it will give you some ideas and/or generate some more comments.

Hey Ken,

Great looking p/u.
My favorite - 5 window, 3 speed.
IF I had room, I'd have one for sure. I love those AD p/u's. Congrats on your great looking one!!!

Bill.
