I know this question has been asked 100's of times. I'm going to look at a 68 Camaro tomorrow. It is suppose to have matching # engine and trans to go with the car. I know that the engine number is on the block deck on the passenger side. How does the block number relate to the car serial number??? It is suppose to have a powerglide trans where is this number located and how does it relate.

Thank you in advance for your help,

a 68 camaro with a small block chevy engine and powerglide will have the following suffixs in the machine assembly data stamped on the pad on the pass side front of the block: ME for a 327 with 2 bbl carb or MU for a 350 ci with PG. mike
